These slim line lock picks were created in 2004 to cater for UK and European locks which tend to have smaller keyways than the USA equivalents. Each set contains four or more of the most popular lock picks; the hook, ball, diamond, and rake. The hook, ball and diamond picks are for manual picking of the lock whereas the rake is designed for moving in and out of the lock and thus raking the pins into place. This is the fastest method for opening a lock but it doesn't always work. Security pins are normally harder to rake so most people then switch to the diamond or other type of similar pick to manually move the security pins into place.
